Whose ready to kick-off a super weekend?  Yes, we know the big game is this weekend, but that’s not still Sunday evening which means there is plenty of opportunity to have some fun all weekend long! Highlights include a spoof of today’s most popular talent competitions, community volunteering in the great outdoors, a master home brewing class (just in time for the big game), some mother/daughter pampering, an acclaimed dance performance an even a rec on where to watch the big game that includes some fabulous food and drink specials!  Let the games begin!

 

Does America Have Talent?

This year, Winnetka Children’s Hour will poke fun at one of the country’s most popular TV programs. Join their panel of judges and celebrities (many of whom you may recognize) as they judge a cast of colorful contestants to pick a winner. Will it be the country western singer? The magician? Or is the winner the hilarious animal act (if they can ONLY find the animals that have escaped!)? “Does America Have Talent?” is a show the entire family will enjoy as the audience gets to decide the final winner and may even find themselves on stage, too! Lake Forest open Lands Community Volunteer Day
Feb. 4: 9 am – 12 pm
Middlefork Farm Nature Preserve, 1401 Middlefork Dr., Lake Forest

Learn from the pros at Ten Ninety Brewing Co. during this informative and fun class. Topics include brewing grains and ingredients, equipment, varieties of beer, and how to get started at home.
