Sculpt & Sip

Grab a friend for an evening of ceramics sculpting and wine! Ceramics instructor, Natalie Steinmetz, will guide you through the process of creating your own masterpiece. Candlelight Yin Yoga

Experience the gentle, harmonizing effects of a Yin yoga practice. Gently loosen and stretch your connective tissues to enhance flexibility while encouraging healing. Poses are primarily seated and held passively for a period of time to disengage muscle, creating mobility in the joints and a more efficient energy flow. Admission is $10 and all levels are welcome. Family Fine Art Day

Let your inner artist bloom in this creative workshop where a range of media opens the door to a world of possibilities. Explore teacher inspired art projects along with DIY stations. Infinity Foundation Family Fest

Playful family fun for parents and children ages three and older. Interactive mindful games and activities will be offered in seven 20-minute playshops. Choose from Yoga Stretch, Exploring Critters, Exciting Scents, Story Time, Magic Discovery, Yummy & Healthy and Art Adventure. Spring Fling Drive, Chip and Putt Tournament

YMCA Dive for Gold Party

Little leprechauns and their families are invited to get in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit at the North Suburban YMCA’s annual “Dive for Gold” pool party. This popular event welcomes the community to help tint the Y’s spacious indoor pool a festive green, while swimmers collect “leprechaun gold” tokens from the depths. Kids can then exchange their tokens for goody bags of prizes. Admission is free for NSYMCA members, non-member: $10 per person with a maximum fee of $20 per family. Reptile Rampage

Bring your friends and family to one of Chicagoland’s largest reptile exhibitions. Enthusiasts and experts from around the region will exhibit more than 150 snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises and more. Visitors will have opportunities to meet, handle, and learn about many of these animals with representatives from museums, universities, zoos, nature centers and private collections. Shamrock Shiver Polar Plunge

The public is invited to don their ‘green’ in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day and get ‘chilly for charity’ as they jump into Lake Michigan at the North Shore’s inaugural Shamrock Shivers Polar Plunge. The family-friendly event will benefit Lake County Cares as they celebrate 50 years connecting caring residents with service opportunities at over 200 Lake County non-profit organizations. Register individually or as part of a team.  Then set up your fundraising page and tell your friends about your chilly swim for charity!  Go for a swim or a quick wade -- it's up to you!  Warm up afterward in the beach pavilion at our Hot Cocoa Bar and enjoy light snacks and refreshments. All ages welcome to participate! St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Mar. 12: 2 – 5 pm
Aw Yeah Comics (formerly Nixie Gallery), 7925 Lincoln Ave., Skokie
After party at the Curragh, 8266 Lincoln Ave. 

Join the parade starting at 2 pm at the new Aw Yeah Comics location.  The parade prince/princess and king/queen will be crowned at the beginning and will help lead the parade. Selection based on the most creative, festive wearing o’ the green! Then follow the shamrocks and march down the sidewalks of Lincoln Avenue and arrive at The Curragh for more Irish music, Irish jigs and free soft drinks! Enjoy some Irish faire and cheer and celebrate this fun holiday with your friends and neighbors.
