The old saying goes that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.  I can’t predict how Mother Nature will behave but I can say that this weekend is certainly roaring with endless possibilities for fun! Whether you want to do a little baking, a little crafting, a little golfing (yes, I just wrote that), a little history learning, a little wine tasting, a little reptile petting, a little exercising, a little laughing or hear some great music, this weekend has got it going on!


Family Fun: Just Desserts

Move over Game Night—this fun family adventure starts and ends with dessert. Everybody will love making and filling cookies inspired by classic PB&J. Spring Fling

Fifth House Ensemble

The Fifth House Ensemble is a 10-piece ensemble of strings and winds that plays with “conviction, authority, and finesse” (New York Times). In this program, the Ensemble teams up with Grammy winner and 2017 Caramoor resident artist Jason Vieaux, “perhaps the most soulful classical guitarist of his generation” (NPR), to create a sonic journey ranging from centuries-old music to modern day works. Dan Visconti’s guitar concerto Living Language serves as the centerpiece of the program, which showcases a multitude of styles from Medieval plainchant to blues, rock, and Latin dance music, including works by Robert Beaser, Alonso Mudarra, Duke Ellington, Béla Bartók, and Pat Metheny. Grove Arrival Day

This free event celebrates the anniversary of the day the Kennicott family first arrived at The Grove, and will feature Kennicott daughters Alice and Cora. Reptile Rampage
