The Grove Arts & Craft Faire

In what will be its final year, the Glenview Park District's Arts and Craft Faire returns to the Grove with a fantastic assortment of handcrafted items, unique gifts, seasonal decorations, and one-of-a-kind treasures, sure to please even the most discerning shoppers. Booker T Jones

Booker T Jones is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and arguably the most famous Hammond B3 player in history. As leader of the legendary Booker T and the MGs, this pillar of soul music collaborated with Otis Redding, Albert King, and more during his tenure at Stax Records. Booker T’s Stax Revue is a presentation of Booker’s hits with the MGs, and of the classics recorded on Stax Records. The Stax Revue features a ten-piece big band with three lead vocalists, a three-piece horn section and Booker’s usual rhythm section and delivers a high energy experience curated to take the audience on a journey through Booker’s eyes. His brief personal anecdotes provide wonderful context for the music and Booker’s legendary history with Stax makes him the perfect artist to present such a revue. Tickets: $22 - $58. The Book Stall After Hours Presents The Kates!

This all female comedy showcase provides an intimate night of comedy different from anything you'll see at a typical Chicago club or late night bar. If you are a long-time fan, come see The Kates for this pop-up event in a new venue.  If you are local, here's a ready-made date night plan or girls-night-out mini-adventure.  The Book Stall provides the chairs, libations, a chance to win a female comedy set of books, and the bookish space, The Kates provide the laughs and entertainment. Evanston Flying Turkey Run

The Annual Evanston Flying Turkey 5k returns! This awesome, family event is a great way to kick off your Thanksgiving weekend and get in some great exercise before your turkey dinner. First 2700 people who register will receive a free hat marking the event! This certified 5K run and walk will be along the beautiful Evanston lakefront newly paved path beginning at Sheridan Rd. and Church Street. This race site/ start line is on the southern end of the park.
