Holiday in the Park and Parade
Nov. 25: 4 - 6 pm
Jackman Park, 1930 Prairie St., Glenview 

Continue the holiday fun at Glenview’s annual Holiday in the Park & Parade!  Follow the parade down Glenview Road from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church going west to Jackman Park.  Festivities in the park include a visit with Santa, hay rides, a train ride for kids, carolers, cookies, hot chocolate and popcorn. Evanston’s Winter Arts & Crafts Expo
Nov. 18 – Dec. 21. Monday – Friday: 9 am – 9 pm; Saturday & Sunday: 9 am – 4 pm 
Evanston Art Center, 1717 Central St., Evanston

The Evanston Art Center’s Winter Arts & Crafts Expo is one of the largest and most celebrated craft shows in the Chicago area. The 15th annual Expo features original arts and crafts by over 140 selected artisans, featuring works of jewelry, ceramics, fiber, metal, glass, painting, photography, mixed-media, and more. Light Up Northbrook Tree Lighting Celebration
Nov. 25: 5 pm – 7 pm
Village Church, 1300 Shermer Rd., Northbrook 

Celebrate the holiday season with your family in Northbrook at the Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration! The tree lighting ceremony- a first for the church- is open to the public and will take place on the front lawn of the church at 5:20 pm. There will be live music by Bach to Rock, warm drinks and Sunset Food’s Popcorn truck serving free popcorn to families. Immediately following the tree lighting, come inside the Village Church for more live music, crafts for kids, holiday treats, and a special gift for each child. Northbrook’s very own, Ron Bernardi, will be the official MC of the celebration. C.A.R.E Holiday Faire
Nov. 25: 11 am – 4 pm
Unitarian Church of Evanston, 1330 Ridge (at Greenwood), Evanston 

Happy Howlidays and a Purry New Year! Come one, come all to the Holiday C.A.R.E. Faire. Bring your pup or kit to have their picture taken with Santa. Stock up on home-baked cookies and more in their famous Cookie Walk. Buy your holiday gifts at the Silent Auction, while perusing local crafters and vendors. While entry to the Faire is free, C.A.R.E. is asking Faire attendees to bring pet food donations as suggested donation. For more info, click here.

 

Scrooge and the Ghostly Spirits
Nov. 24 & 25: 8pm; Nov. 26 3 pm

This world-premiere musical is based on Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” This family favorite brings all the cherished characters and themes to life through an original score and the magic of song and dance. Christmas Tree Ornament Making
Nov. 25: 9 am – 12 pm
The Home Depot, Lake Cook Rd., Deerfield 

This hands-on workshop lets you and a child create a holiday picture frame that doubles as a Christmas ornament. Perfect for gifting or adding to the family's holiday decor. Once the picture frame is built, your child can decorate it with paint and holiday stickers. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times.
